Job summary
The Translational Cardiovascular Research Center (TCRC) at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Phoenix invites qualified researchers to apply for a Researcher/Scientist III role. The position focuses on cardiovascular physiology and vascular biology, utilizing animal models to translate basic science into potential therapeutics.
The ideal candidate will design and conduct experiments, manage mouse colonies, and collaborate with a team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant life sciences field.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience or equivalent.
- Experience with cardiovascular physiology and vascular biology research.
Responsibilities
- Plan, design and conduct advanced multi-disciplinary cardiovascular research with PI.
- Perform in vivo physiological exams in mice: echocardiography, Doppler, treadmill, blood pressure.
- Manage mouse colonies and perform survival surgical procedures.
- Analyze data and report results; prepare manuscripts.
- Assist with grant proposals and funding applications.
- Ensure data integrity and protocol compliance.
- Mentor students/trainees and oversee experiments.
