Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Research Laboratory Technician to support a cardiovascular research lab in the Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. You will coordinate operations, oversee equipment, assist with regulatory compliance, and perform advanced molecular techniques under the supervision of the Principal Investigator.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in biological/physical sciences with related experience; a Master's is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in biological/physical sciences with related lab experience.
• Master's degree preferred for advanced responsibilities.
• Ability to coordinate laboratory operations and supervise junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Consults with principal investigator and assists in planning experiments.
• Modifies lab procedures to fit project needs.
• Prepares reports and discusses results with PI.
• Reviews literature to support experimental procedures.
• Performs chemical, physical, and biological tests on samples.
• Supervises and trains students and junior technicians.
