Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Cardiovascular Technologist for the Cardiac Cath Lab in a full-time role. Work a 4x10-hour shift schedule with rotating call, and be part of a high-acuity cardiovascular team providing patient-centered care.

Responsibilities include assisting with catheterization procedures, monitoring, medication administration under physician supervision, documentation, and effective communication with physicians and teammates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; relevant tech program preferred.
• Completion of Cardiovascular/Cardiopulmonary technology program and ARRT certification.
• Licensure eligibility within 12 months for non-certified applicants.
• Experience or training in invasive cardiovascular care is a plus.
• Graduate of an accredited Allied Health Technology program or Cardiovascular Interventional program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates evidence-based practice and cares for the patient wellbeing.
• Performs or assists with treatments, therapies, and procedures under physician supervision.
• Administers medications under physician supervision.
• Documents patient condition and records in the patient chart.
• Communicates relevant information to physicians and teammates.
• Interprets data and supports clinical decision making.
• Contributes to policy and standards development; participates in committees as needed.
