Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Medical Science Liaison for the Cardiovascular Metabolic focus in Central Pennsylvania. You will educate healthcare partners on clinical and economic data, support payer discussions, and lead local MSL plans aligned with departmental goals.

The role requires a Doctorate with 2+ years in Medical Affairs and/or a PhD/MD with relevant biotech/pharma experience. Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree with 2 years Medical Affairs experience
• Master’s degree with 6 years Medical Affairs experience
• Bachelor’s degree with 8 years Medical Affairs experience
• Pharm. D., Ph.D., M.D., or D.O. (other doctoral degrees considered)
• 2+ years in an MSL role in a biotech or pharmaceutical company
• 5+ years in Scientific or Medical Affairs at a biotech or pharmaceutical company
• Two or more years focused on clinical practice, clinical research, or medical research
• Experience in a medically related field including post-doctoral training (residencies/fellowships)
• Cardio-metabolic expertise preferred

Responsibilities

• Engage with healthcare partners to educate and communicate clinical and economic data
• Educate on clinical value, outcomes, and economic data to payers, providers, and key partners
• Provide scientific engagement plans aligned with annual MSL goals and metrics
• Support speaker training and ensure data updates for talks
• Lead and participate in cross-functional project teams supporting MSL strategies
• Lead congress activities in line with strategy and may serve as congress lead
• Collaborate compliantly with cross-functional colleagues
• Maintain ongoing training and mentorship roles as needed
• Advance MSL value proposition and demonstrate Amgen leadership attributes
