Qualifications

  • RVT preferred, but not required.
  • Minimum of two years of cardiac experience in a hospital.

Job description

Senior Cardiac Sonographer - Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center

Location: Baltimore, MD 21224.
Requisition #: 666982.

Schedule: PRN (as needed), Day Shift (Mon-Fri 7:30-4:00 or 8:30-5:00). Some Saturday coverage.

Employment type: Casual / On Call.

Responsibilities
  • Perform an extensive range of cardiac ultrasound studies, including transthoracic, exercise, and pharmacologic stress echocardiograms.
  • Provide education and clinical instruction to cardiac sonography students and cardiology fellows.
  • Access and correlate patient's medical history and provide proper documentation.
Qualifications
  • Graduate from a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Program (CAAHEPP) - accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound program.
  • BS in Diagnostic Ultrasound preferred.
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (CCS) by Cardiac Credentialing International (CCI).
  • Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) preferred, but not required.
  • Two (2) years of cardiac experience in a hospital setting.
Compensation

Base pay: $57.00/hour. Compensation commensurate with equity and experience.
