Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network in the Lehigh Valley seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform nuclear cardiology procedures and administer radiopharmaceuticals. You will operate imaging equipment, ensure patient safety, and provide clinical support to physicians.

This role requires an associate degree in nuclear medicine, CNMT/NMTCB certifications, and BLS, with on-call as needed. Work in a hospital setting supporting emergency, inpatient and outpatient care.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in nuclear medicine; hospital experience required.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle confidential data.
• Knowledge of nuclear medicine equipment and safety to minimize radiation exposure.
• Current BLS certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs high quality nuclear cardiology procedures for outpatients, including explanation of tests and safety precautions.
• Operates cameras and imaging equipment to monitor radiopharmaceutical effects on tissues and organs.
• Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals by injection or inhalation; ensures proper dosages and safety.
• Oversees handling, storage, and disposal of radiopharmaceuticals; conducts QA activities and documentation.
