Job summary

Lehigh Valley Health Network seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals, perform nuclear cardiac imaging, and support diagnostic care in a hospital setting.

The role includes operating advanced imaging equipment, ensuring patient safety, and participating in on-call coverage with a focus on high-acuity patient care in emergency and routine environments.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Nuclear Medicine is required.
• 1 year experience as a nuclear medicine technologist in a hospital setting.
• Ability to work under pressure and handle confidential data.
• Ability to monitor and improve performance.
• Knowledge of nuclear medicine equipment and safe operation.
• AHA Basic Life Support in PA within 30 days.
• CNMT or RT certification in PA.

Responsibilities

• Performs nuclear cardiology procedures for outpatients with imaging and test explanations.
• Operates cameras and imaging equipment; documents results and safety notes.
• Prepares and administers radiopharmaceuticals and isotopes by injection or inhalation.
• Maintains safety using shields, PPE, and radiation-monitoring devices.
• Oversees ordering, storage, and disposal of radiopharmaceuticals.
• Assists in QA, calibration, and equipment maintenance.
• Completes required documentation and record-keeping.
