Kaiser Permanente in Hilo, Hawaii seeks a Senior Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer to perform advanced echocardiography studies and contribute to patient care.

The role requires expertise in adult and pediatric echocardiography, proficiency with transthoracic, transesophageal, stress echo, and intraoperative studies, and strong collaboration with cardiology and biomedical teams. On-site position with standard hospital hours and ongoing training opportunities.

Formación

• Minimum two years of experience in adult or pediatric echocardiography.
• Successful completion of an accredited ultrasound/vascular technology program specializing in echocardiography, or equivalent experience.
• Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Demonstrated knowledge of customer service, interpersonal relations, oral and written communication.
• Ability to train and orient new diagnostic cardiac sonographers.

Responsabilidades

• Performs echocardiography studies on both inpatients and outpatients, including transthoracic and specialized procedures.
• Operates ultrasound equipment and ensures quality images with proper transducer angulation and settings.
• Reviews and communicates critical findings to cardiologists and documents data for interpretation.
• Maintains equipment, schedules examinations, and ensures stock of supplies.
• Trains new hires and junior staff in echocardiography techniques.
