Mercury is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Cards Integration team. You will own system design and build features across the stack for Mercury Debit and IO cards, focusing on reliability and customer experience. The role emphasizes ownership, teamwork, and rigorous attention to detail.

Ideal candidates will have strong full-stack capabilities, experience with complex architectures, and comfort with Haskell and TypeScript. Fintech/payments familiarity is a plus.

• Learn debit/credit card backend workflows (authorization, settlement, disputes) and apply daily.
• Build features across the stack from consumer card experiences to money-movement systems.
• Improve operations with high observability and reliability practices.
• Mentor engineers through design and code reviews and collaborative practice.
• Collaborate with product, design, operations, risk, compliance, sales and other teams.
