Job summary

Ramsey Car Wash – A Member of the Wash Club Family is seeking a seasoned Car Wash Equipment Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain complex car wash systems in Ramsey, NJ. The role requires hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting to keep automated tunnel and conveyor equipment running with minimal downtime.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience, read electrical diagrams, and coordinate parts and services while adhering to safety protocols and documentation

Qualifications

• Five+ years of car wash equipment repair and maintenance experience preferred.
• Strong hands-on knowledge of automated tunnel and conveyor car wash equipment.
• Advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams, equipment manuals and schematics.
• Experience with major car wash manufacturers and control systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic problems.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and equipment inspections.
• Service and repair conveyors, rollers, bearings, pumps, motors, gearboxes, belts, and arches.
• Troubleshoot electrical panels, sensors, relays, relays, switches, VFDs, PLC components.
• Maintain chemical delivery, mixing, and dispensing systems.
• Service water-reclamation, filtration, RO, and spot-free rinse systems.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and restore operations quickly.
• Identify replacement parts and maintain inventory of spare parts.
• Keep accurate records of inspections, repairs, and parts used.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers when needed.
• Follow safety procedures including lockout/tagout.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area.
