Job summary

The Careers at Drexel department is seeking a part-time capstone mentor to guide students through their individualized capstone projects within the Drexel CSDN curriculum. The mentor will help design, execute, and assess the capstone, meeting via in-person or virtual formats.

Responsibilities include regular progress check-ins, real-time feedback, and end-of-term reporting to Drexel staff. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 1–2 years of experience; a Master’s is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience.
• Master's Degree preferred.
• Analytic: Non-standardized and varied work; establish and review broad objectives relative to duties.
• Problems solving involves identification and analysis of diverse problems.
• Multiple professional skills/external expert.

Responsibilities

• Providing active guidance in constructing and overseeing a course of study/research to create a robust capstone experience.
• Giving constructive feedback in real-time to the student.
• Meeting with mentee at least three times per term to check progress.
• Regularly reporting on student progress to CSDN staff at term end via evaluation form.
• Maintaining communication and responding to email.
• Attending mentee’s final capstone presentation during their final term.
• Other duties may be assigned.
