Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Project Quality Manager II to oversee quality on a capital project from the owner's or EPC perspective. You will write the project quality plan, set surveillance, qualify vendors, and report performance to project leadership.

Responsibilities include leading audits, reviewing QC plans and ITPs, managing nonconformances, and ensuring turnover records meet the owner’s standards. Travel to sites and compliance with the client QA system are expected.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in quality on construction or industrial capital projects.
• 2+ years leading a project quality program.
• ISO 9001 lead or internal auditor certification.
• ASQ CQA or CMQ-OE preferred.
• Experience with owner-side quality programs in industrial, energy, infrastructure, or federal work.
• Able to write quality requirements that contractors can actually execute, and to enforce them.

Responsibilities

• Write the project quality plan and the contractor and supplier quality requirements that flow from it.
• Plan and lead surveillance and audits of contractors and suppliers.
• Qualify vendors and inspection agencies.
• Review and accept contractor QC plans, ITPs, procedures, and inspector qualifications.
• Own the project nonconformance, corrective-action, and lessons-learned processes.
• Report quality metrics and risks to project leadership and the owner's quality organization.
