Job summary

The University of Texas System Administration is seeking an experienced leader to direct a program of major capital projects in Austin. You will provide executive direction for planning, design, construction management, and contract administration across academic, healthcare, and research facilities.

This exempt, full-time role requires strategic budgeting, schedule oversight, stakeholder coordination, and compliance with regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Minimum 15 years of complex project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive leadership for a program of multiple capital projects.
• Monitor budgets and schedules; approve expenditures.
• Ensure compliance with laws and regulations across projects.
• Liaise with campus executives, architects, contractors, and staff.
• Advance process improvements for the capital program.
• Travel up to 25% and occasional evening/weekend hours.
