Job summary

Conagra Brands is seeking a procurement professional to drive sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting for capital projects. You will partner with engineering, operations and project teams, ensuring governance and policy compliance, drafting RFIs/RFPs, and delivering value through strategic supplier relationships.

The role requires 7+ years in procurement, construction/equipment experience, contract law knowledge, and strong analytical/problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree required.
7+ years of procurement experience.
Experience in construction and equipment procurement.
Broad understanding of capital equipment and construction industry.
Contract law knowledge, including statements of work and technical specs.
Experience negotiating large purchases and complex requirements.
Experience managing competitive sourcing events and single-source procurements.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Strong interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
Proven track record delivering complex initiatives from strategy to implementation.
Analytical mindset with a problem-solving approach.

Responsibilities

Lead sourcing, supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting for capital projects.
Partner with cross-functional teams including engineering, project management, and operations.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies and governance requirements.
Draft RFIs and RFPs and conduct commercial/technical analyses.
Identify innovative sourcing strategies to meet budget objectives.
Lead supplier relationship management to improve performance and reduce total cost.
Research market dynamics, cost drivers, and supplier models to strengthen negotiation.
Resolve supplier and stakeholder issues to support project delivery.
Manage supplier performance via KPIs and regular reporting.
Support continuity of services through proactive supplier management.
