Job summary

City of Maitland is seeking a highly skilled Civil Engineer to manage complex capital improvement projects. You will oversee planning, design, and construction, coordinating with consultants, contractors, and city staff to meet budget, codes, and timelines. Emergency/disaster duties apply during incidents.

The role requires a Civil Engineering degree and extensive CIP experience; Florida PE preferred, with a valid Florida driver's license. Local public works experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and eight years of progressively responsible experience in design/construction.
• Preference for Florida PE designation or ability to obtain within two years.
• Valid Florida Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Manages capital improvement projects from planning to completion with consultants and contractors.
• Builds design teams and coordinates delivery of CIP infrastructure projects.
• Ensures compliance with codes, budget, and schedule for city projects.
• Oversees design, plans, specifications, and bid processes for infrastructure work.
• Coordinates with agencies, public meetings, and stakeholders.
