Job summary
LANXESS Deutschland GmbH is seeking an experienced Project Engineer to oversee capital and non-capital projects, manage concept development, cost estimates, and project plans, and support budgeting and reporting requirements. The role emphasizes safety leadership, contractor management, and Lean/Six Sigma improvements within a chemical manufacturing context.
The position requires a Bachelor’s in Engineering with 10+ years of project engineering experience, proficiency with MS
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Engineering.
- Minimum 10 years Project Engineering experience in chemical manufacturing.
- Ability to independently manage small to large capital projects.
- Knowledge of EHS&S requirements and PSM.
- Experience with MOCs, PHAs, hazard studies.
- Lean/Six Sigma and continuous improvement experience desired.
- Strong contractor management and safety leadership.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage capital and non-capital projects from concept to closeout.
- Develop project cost estimates, plans, and proposals for approvals.
- Track spend and progress, report status against plan.
- Support capital budgeting and multi-year planning.
- Ensure design reviews, procurement, field verification, installation, commissioning, and startup are executed.
