Job summary

Ecovyst Catalyst Technologies seeks a Senior Project Engineer to lead planning, development, and execution of capital projects across multiple sites in Port Neches. You will manage scope, schedule, cost, quality, and risk while ensuring regulatory alignment and asset value.

Responsibilities include coordinating cross-functional teams, driving PSM compliance, and delivering projects safely on time and within budgets, with active involvement in startup and turnover processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Civil or related).
• 10+ years in engineering, PM, or capital project execution in chemical/industrial settings.
• 5+ years leading capital projects or portfolios in manufacturing.
• Experience managing contractors, vendors, and third-party services.
• Proven track record delivering projects safely, on schedule, and within budgets.
• Preferred PMP or PE certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, development, approval, execution, and closeout of capital projects from concept to startup.
• Manage a portfolio of projects across multiple locations with balanced priorities.
• Develop scopes, estimates, schedules, execution strategies, and resource plans.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and PSM requirements.
• Support PHA and MOC reviews for capital modifications.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams across Engineering, Operations, Maintenance, Reliability, EHS, Procurement, Finance, and Construction.
• Identify and mitigate project risks impacting safety, cost, schedule, quality, or performance.
• Manage engineering and construction contractors and vendors; oversee procurement.
• Provide regular reporting on scope, schedule, budget, risks, and KPIs to leadership.
• Drive continuous improvement in project execution and controls; support startups and turnover.
