Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a mid to senior‑level corporate associate for our national capital markets practice. The role focuses on public company reporting, governance, and securities offerings for issuers and underwriters across life sciences, technology, and digital assets sectors.

The position supports a dynamic securities practice in a leading global law firm and is open to all US locations. Prior large-firm experience is a plus for success in this role.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school and admission to practice.
• Minimum 4 years of public company and capital markets experience.
• Strong knowledge of the Securities Act of 1933 and the Securities Exchange Act of 1934.
• Experience with issuers and underwriters in structuring and executing complex securities offerings.
• Direct experience at a top-tier AmLaw 100 firm preferred.

Responsibilities

• Legal research to support transaction preparation and strategy.
• Draft legal documents, memos, and correspondence.
• Assist/manage complex transactions from inception to closing.
• Build and maintain client relationships with timely updates and advice.
• Collaborate with lawyers and professionals to create innovative transaction strategies.
• Attend client calls and meetings.
• Ensure rigorous compliance with evolving legal standards.
• Pursue ongoing professional development.
