Job summary

Society for College and University Planning (SCUP) in Fort Collins, CO seeks an experienced Senior Capital Projects Manager to oversee multiple complex university construction programs from planning to post-occupancy. You will drive scope, budget, and schedule while coordinating design teams and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate has 7–10 years in lead roles for design and construction, strong knowledge of building codes, and proven ability to manage contracts, procurement, and post-construction

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field (construction, engineering, architecture, interior design).
  • 7–10 years of lead experience in design/construction projects.
  • Knowledge of construction processes, codes, and budgeting.

Responsibilities

  • Define, plan, manage, and execute multiple complex capital projects from planning through post-occupancy.
  • Develop project justification, scope, risks, and delivery strategies including funding and phasing.
  • Oversee design processes, ensure compliance with codes and milestones.
  • Lead procurement, contracting, and bidding in line with university and state rules.
  • Administer contracts, monitor progress, resolve conflicts, approve pay apps.
  • Coordinate closeout, inspections, warranties, and documentation.
  • Lead process improvements and maintain PM expertise.
