Job summary

James Hardie is seeking a Senior Process Engineer - Capex Projects to lead capital and process-improvement initiatives at the Wilmington site. You will drive safety, capacity, and reliability while managing projects from concept through startup in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

You will collaborate with engineering, operations, maintenance, EHS, and supply chain teams to ensure scoping, scheduling, budgeting, and performance meets expectations.Competitive compensation and benefits

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of project management experience in manufacturing or capital projects.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and material flow.
• Controls engineering experience is a plus.
• Experience with budgeting, cost control, and ROI justification.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end capital and process-improvement projects at the Wilmington site.
• Develop scopes, estimates, schedules, and risk mitigation plans.
• Build business cases and manage financial performance across projects.
• Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure delivery on scope, schedule, and budget.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and adherence to engineering standards.
