Job summary

Planet Pharma seeks a Lead Buyer Leader to drive Capex procurement across USAmericas sites, managing a team of lead, operational and project buyers and order management staff to procure goods and services for strategic growth capital projects ranging from $10M to $500M. The role requires end-to-end procurement expertise, including RFPs, contracting, bid management, and hands-on procurement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Purchasing, Engineering or Construction.
• Solid commercial experience in Procurement or Sales Capital and construction procurement preferred.
• Experience in capex heavy industries such as Pharma, oil & gas or tech.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Ability to craft commercial contracts and agreements.
• Project and procurement management skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop project purchasing strategies and coordinate procurement for strategic growth projects.
• Align sourcing objectives with Global Capex Procurement, Global Engineering, and business partners.
• Procure engineered equipment, construction services, and engineering services for growth projects.
• Lead RFP processes and manage contracting and bid activities for capex packages.
• Negotiate commercial terms and supply agreements; monitor supplier performance.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize procurement strategies and risk management.
