Job summary

DigitalOcean is seeking a Senior Capacity Planner to grow the Serverless Instance offering by optimizing physical infrastructure. You will forecast demand, drive GPU deployments, and build automation to improve efficiency across data centers worldwide.

Responsibilities include analyzing usage, planning procurement timelines, and partnering with DCOPS, Network Eng, Product, and Delivery teams to ensure revenue and utilization targets are met.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in capacity planning, infra ops, or related analytical roles.
• Strong SQL skills and ability to build dashboards with Looker or Grafana.
• Deep understanding of GPU hardware market and procurement realities.
• Experience with data-driven resource allocation and automation tooling.
• Proven ability to partner across DCOPS, Network Eng, Product and Delivery.

Responsibilities

• Analyze usage and demand to optimize serverless inference and GPU deployment.
• Forecast GPU capacity needs and plan hardware procurement timelines.
• Develop tools to automate model-to-server assignment decisions.
• Monitor rack and power capacity across global data centers.
