Job summary

TensorWave Inc. is seeking a Head of Capacity Planning to manage the fleet-wide capacity view across multiple U.S. data centers. You will own the end-to-end capacity planning, reconcile inventory against commitments, and define standards so all stakeholders read the same numbers.

You will partner with Sales, Finance, and Operations to forecast demand, manage ramps, expiries, and renewal probabilities, and drive a weekly cadence to defend capacity against market demand.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in capacity planning, supply and demand planning, S&OP, technical program management, or infrastructure operations.
• Working knowledge of data center and compute infrastructure fundamentals: racks, power and cooling constraints, servers and GPUs, and networking.
• Advanced forecasting and allocation modeling; strong data fluency (SQL and BI tools a plus).
• A track record of working across Sales, Finance, and Operations, translating technical constraints into commercial guidance.
• Excellent written communication and the discipline to run a recurring operating cadence and produce clear, trusted reporting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a single source of truth for total, committed, reserved, and available-to-sell capacity across every site and GPU generation, reconciling physical fleet inventory against allocations.
• Standardize capacity definitions, measurements, and reporting.
• Own demand pipeline and track contracted ramp on curves, steady state consumption, expiries, renewal probability, and take-or-pay floors.
• Define and publish sellable capacity by site, GPU type, and timeframe; inform Sales of what can be committed and when.
• Partner with Sales and Deal Desk to validate feasibility before commitments; flag oversubscription risk and conflicts.
• Own the multi-year capacity strategy; connect Infrastructure Operations, Sales, Finance, and leadership.
• Anticipate where capacity constraints will emerge and drive cross-functional decisions to stay ahead.
• Own buffer and oversubscription policy with Operations and Finance; keep rules visible.
• Translate sales pipeline and contracted growth into a rolling capacity forecast; identify shortfalls.
• Coordinate with Infrastructure Operations, Global Operations, and supply chain on incoming capacity timelines.
• Act as the connective tissue for capacity decisions across Ops, Sales, Finance, PMO, and data center teams.
• Run weekly capacity reviews and produce dashboards for leadership, Sales, and Finance.
• Track committed versus available capacity with auditable records of allocations.
• Assess and elevate capacity planning processes; document standards and workflows.
• Define tooling requirements for DCIM, inventory, and capacity systems; collaborate on build-versus-buy.
