Job summary

Snowflake seeks a Senior Software Engineer in Capacity Engineering to design a scalable platform that unifies CPU and GPU allocation across AWS, Azure, and GCP. You will model demand, manage procurement, and maximize fleet utilization.

You will collaborate with cloud providers and internal teams to forecast capacity, optimize price/performance, and ensure high availability. Strong programming skills in Go, Python, or Java are required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of industry experience designing and supporting large-scale systems.
• Hands-on experience provisioning compute clusters on cloud providers.
• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java and strong problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and build the capacity platform unifying CPU/GPU allocation across clouds.
• Own the canonical capacity data layer—forecasts, signals, and fleet utilization.
• Collaborate with cloud providers and internal teams on capacity forecasting and procurement.
• Build planning systems translating demand into hardware requirements with real-time visibility.
• Drive efficiency and cost/performance improvements across workloads.
