Job summary
Anthropic is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Capacity Engineering to lead a team responsible for data platform, planning and efficiency, and reliability across compute surfaces. You will set technical direction, grow senior staff, own the roadmap, and ensure incident response; this on-site role reports to leadership and partners across research, infrastructure, and finance.

Qualifications
- Experience managing software or infrastructure engineering teams.
- Hands-on production systems background.
- Proficiency with at least one cloud provider (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and Kubernetes.
- Track record of setting and executing an engineering roadmap in an ambiguous, high-autonomy environment.
- Excellent communication with senior leadership.
- Comfort owning operational responsibility including on-call and incident management.
Responsibilities
- Be hands-on, lead and grow the team.
- Champion your internal customers across research, infrastructure, finance.
- Own the roadmap and translate strategy into prioritised engineering work.
- Set the technical bar and ensure production standards.
- Run the team as a product organization with clear requirements and schemas.
- Be the primary partner for cross-functional stakeholders.
- Drive operational excellence with reliable incident response and reduced toil.
- Scale the function as the fleet grows.
