Job summary

Qualifications

5-10+ years of experience in utility distribution or related trades such as plumbing, pipefitting, high pressure steam maintenance, drainage systems, earthwork, or welding.
Experience in construction project management or mechanical/civil engineering is also considered.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Operate, inspect, maintain, repair, install, and troubleshoot campus utility distribution systems (potable water, heating water, domestic hot water, chilled water, stormwater, wastewater, steam, condensate).
Oversee Utilities Distribution Technicians and subcontracted service technicians; lead emergency repairs and coordinate with emergency personnel.
Supervise staff, coordinate recruitment, training, and professional development; inspect contractor work for compliance and quality.
Assist in developing project scope, priorities, and budgets for major repairs and capital improvements; coordinate with facilities and town staff.
Research and recommend equipment and costs for repairs; manage inventory and support funding requests and procurement.
