Job summary

University System of New Hampshire seeks a seasoned Utilities Distribution lead to oversee operation, inspection, and maintenance of campus potable water, heating, chilled water, wastewater, steam, and condensate systems from underground tunnels to above-ground facilities.

You will supervise Distribution Technicians, coordinate with outside contractors, and guide emergency response, asset management, and major project scopes while ensuring compliance with state/federal regulations and university

Qualifications

5-10+ years of experience in utility distribution or related trades.
Ability to work in confined spaces and inclement weather.
On-call rotation outside normal hours required.
Experience with construction project management or mechanical/civil engineering is valued.

Responsibilities

Perform operation, inspection, maintenance, repair, installation, and troubleshooting for campus utility distribution systems.
Oversee Utilities Distribution Technicians and subcontracted service technicians.
Lead emergency repairs coordination and communication with staff and external agencies.
Assist asset management and planning for major repairs and upgrades.
Coordinate with Town of Durham Public Works on utility issues.
