Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill seeks a Steam Distribution Maintenance Supervisor to lead a 6-person team responsible for the operation and maintenance of the campus steam distribution system. You will guide troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repairs to ensure reliable service for campus buildings and UNC Hospitals.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent with four years in utility operations and supervisory experience, plus applicable certifications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required plus four years of experience in applicable utility operations, one year supervisory.
• Requires certification(s).
• Experience supervising steam distribution systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Steam Distribution employees (6 FTE) and oversee operations of the steam distribution system.
• Lead maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair; develop preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Manage work schedules, hiring, performance reviews, and training of staff.
