Job summary

Compass Corporate in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Senior Retail Manager for Butler University to lead daily campus retail dining operations, drive sales, and develop teams. The role emphasizes financial accountability, inventory management, and program execution in a fast-paced environment.

You will manage budgets, forecast demand, and report on performance while partnering with the General Manager to achieve objectives and ensure exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of progressive food service management or retail dining leadership experience.
• Strong financial acumen including cost control, forecasting and reporting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee daily retail dining operations to ensure efficient service and a positive customer experience.
• Recruit, train, schedule, coach, and develop hourly team members.
• Manage inventory, purchasing, receiving, and product ordering to maintain stock levels.
• Monitor and control food and labor costs while meeting financial objectives.
• Assist with budget development, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Maintain cash controls and payroll records.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and sanitation standards.
• Utilize technology to manage reporting, ordering, inventory, scheduling, and communication.
• Collaborate with culinary and marketing teams to implement programs and promotions.
