Job summary

Georgetown University seeks a Project Manager to oversee campus design and construction capital projects. You will manage planning, execution, and close-out, coordinating between internal partners, consultants, and contractors to ensure design adequacy and compliance with GU standards.

You will steer multiple project teams, maintain accountability for contract scope and schedules, and engage with campus leaders across departments to deliver high-quality results on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; Civil, Structural, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering; Architecture or Landscape Architecture; Construction or Project Management degrees preferred
• State Registration as an Engineer or Architect is preferred
• Must be computer literate with specific knowledge of CADD and MS Project or other software (e.g., Primavera, etc). MS Office fluency is required.
• Familiarity with certified payroll systems and auditing methodologies is preferred
• Requires a high level of interpersonal skills for daily interaction with construction personnel, faculty and staff, clients, GU managers, team members, and public agency officials
• Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
• Requires the ability to prepare clear and concise reports, a variety of matrices, oral presentations and code analyses.

Responsibilities

• Manage planning, execution, and close-out of assigned campus design and construction capital projects.
• Serve as liaison between internal partners, external consultants, and contractors.
• Coordinate project design issues with Georgetown clients and staff across departments.
• Lead multiple project teams (five to twenty members) and hold consultants and contractors accountable for scope and schedule.
