Job summary

Birmingham and Solihull Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a CAMHS nurse to join the Solar Crisis and Home Treatment Team. You will assess and coordinate care for children, young people and families, planning evidence-based interventions and promoting recovery within a multidisciplinary team.

The role will involve risk assessment, care planning, collaboration with schools and social services, and ensuring smooth transitions between teams while reducing unnecessary A&E

Qualifications

• CAMHS experience is essential.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in mental health.
• UK registration or equivalent professional registration desirable.
• Community experience and learning disability/autism experience desirable.
• Crisis and Home treatment experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Work with a defined caseload in MDT providing assessment, care planning and care delivery for service users with moderate to severe mental health/emotional difficulties.
• Responsible for the appropriate clinical risk assessment of service users, providing effective advice, guidance and decision making culminating in the coordination of any reviewed plan of care.
• Responsible for the admission, case conference/reviews and discharge in collaboration with members of the multi-disciplinary team.
• Responsible for the promotion of carer and service user involvement within the service and for its provision.
• Establish therapeutic relationships with service users, in accordance with Nursing and Midwifery Councils professional code of conduct or other allied professional registration.
