Job summary

Pentangle Tech Services | P5 Group is seeking an experienced mechanical design engineer to drive end-to-end development of camera- and sensor-based products. You will create 3D models and drawings in SolidWorks, apply thermal simulations, and collaborate with electrical/software teams to ensure robust, manufacturable designs.

The role emphasizes independent ownership, rigorous design validation, and a focus on quality and reliability in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of mechanical product design experience.
• Strong background in camera- and sensor-based systems.
• Proficient in SolidWorks for 3D modeling and drawings.
• Experience with thermal simulations and heat management.
• Hands-on tolerance stack-up analysis and verification.
• Ability to design for manufacturability and assembly.
• Proven problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical products from concept to prototype, focusing on camera and sensor solutions.
• Create and maintain 3D models and detailed drawings in SolidWorks.
• Apply thermal management principles and perform simulations for reliability.
• Collaborate with electrical and software teams for integrated systems.
• Develop and manage mechanical design requirements for performance and quality.
• Conduct design validation, testing, tolerance analysis, and reviews.
• Perform root cause analysis and structured problem solving.
• Incorporate DFMA principles for cost-effective production.
• Prepare engineering documentation including specs and test reports.
• Work autonomously to drive projects and meet deadlines.
