Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Mendota Heights, MN seeks an Advanced CAM Technologist to own CAM programs for metal stamping. You’ll convert CAD and GD&T into robust toolpaths for 3–4 axis VMCs, create setup sheets, and develop InspecVision inspection routines.

Collaborate daily with design, tooling, production, and quality teams to shrink cycle times, improve tool life, and ensure traceable documentation. Requires 5+ years CNC milling programming, Mastercam or GibbsCAM mastery, and solid GD&T knowledge.

Qualifications

• 5+ years CNC milling programming in a metal stamping environment.
• Mastery of Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or equivalent CAM tools.
• Strong G-code knowledge, machining principles, tool selection, feeds/speeds.
• Expert reading of blueprints/CAD with solid GD&T application.

Responsibilities

• Develop, edit, and refine CNC milling programs in Mastercam or GibbsCAM for 3–4 axis VMCs.
• Convert prints/CAD and GD&T into robust machining strategies and setup documentation.
• Create and maintain InspecVision optical inspection programs for automated verification.
• Author thorough setup/program sheets with setups, tooling, pickup points, toolpaths, and grind stock.
• Rapidly troubleshoot programming/machining issues to protect schedule and quality.
• Continuously improve processes to reduce cycle time and variation.
• Own cutting tool procurement, inventory management, and life monitoring per tooling BOMs.
• Collaborate daily with design engineers, operators, quality teams, and production leadership.
