Qualifications

  • 5+ years CNC milling programming in a metal stamping environment.
  • Mastery of Mastercam, GibbsCAM, or equivalent CAM tools.
  • Strong G-code knowledge, machining principles, tool selection, feeds/speeds.
  • Expert reading of blueprints/CAD with solid GD&T application.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, edit, and refine CNC milling programs in Mastercam or GibbsCAM for 3–4 axis VMCs.
  • Convert prints/CAD and GD&T into robust machining strategies and setup documentation.
  • Create and maintain InspecVision optical inspection programs for automated verification.
  • Author thorough setup/program sheets with setups, tooling, pickup points, toolpaths, and grind stock.
  • Rapidly troubleshoot programming/machining issues to protect schedule and quality.
  • Continuously improve processes to reduce cycle time and variation.
  • Own cutting tool procurement, inventory management, and life monitoring per tooling BOMs.
  • Collaborate daily with design engineers, operators, quality teams, and production leadership.

Advanced CAM Technologist (Mastercam/GibbsCAM) — Metal Stamping

The mission

Own the CAM programming that powers our precision tooling and parts for metal stamping. You’ll partner across engineering, toolroom, production, and quality to shrink cycle times, lift capability, and formalize reliable, repeatable processes—on the machine and in inspection.

How you’ll contribute
  • Develop, edit, and refine CNC milling programs in Mastercam or GibbsCAM for 3–4 axis VMCs
  • Convert prints/CAD and GD&T into robust machining strategies and setup documentation
  • Create and maintain InspecVision optical inspection programs for automated verification
  • Author thorough setup/program sheets with setups, tooling, pickup points, toolpaths, and grind stock

Physical expectations
  • Frequent standing and walking on the shop floor
  • Lift 25 lbs routinely and up to 50 lbs on occasion
  • Sustain focus through repetitive tasks over a full shift
  • Good vision, depth perception, and manual dexterity for verification, inspection, and support
