Job summary

AECOM has a position available for an Environmental Health and Safety Compliance Professional to join our EHS & Air team. This hybrid position will be based out of our San Jose, CA office.

The successful candidate will be part of a team of engineers and scientists that are responsible for environmental, health and safety consulting services in California. The role includes inspecting sites, educating clients on regulations, and supporting permits and reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, safety, or related field.
• 2 years of relevant EHS experience focusing on health and safety regulations and environmental compliance.
• Ability to travel ~25% to conduct client audits.
• Valid US Driver's License and pre-employment driving record verification.
• US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct environmental, health and safety inspections and audits at client sites.
• Understand and apply state and federal regulations (EPA, RWQCB, OSHA, DTSC) to educate clients on obligations.
• Support preparation of permit applications, audit reports, and regulatory documents.
• Provide on-site EHS support services for clients.
• Develop and deliver EHS training and emergency preparedness programs.
