Job summary

Baxter Healthcare is seeking a Sr Calibration Technician in Round Lake, IL to perform calibration, maintenance, testing and troubleshooting on laboratory and manufacturing instruments. You will prepare reports, trend data, and support multiple manufacturing cells while ensuring SOP and GMP compliance.

The role requires an Associate degree with 3–5 years of experience, strong metrology knowledge, and the ability to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Associates Degree and 3–5 years of relevant experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of metrology and ability to handle moderately complex processes.
• Judgement and initiative in problem resolution.
• Ability to work flexible hours in a dynamic environment with minimal supervision.
• Able to work during Preventive Maintenance Periods (PMP) shutdown.
• Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds (HEPA filters replacement).
• Strong communication and writing skills; detail oriented.
• Team-oriented with ability to make independent decisions per procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance and repair on circuits and analytical equipment.
• Prepare technical reports and trend equipment/process data.
• Support calibration team across manufacturing cells and projects.
• Coordinate instrument recertification and document reviews with outside labs.
• Assist lead or supervisor on metrology issues as needed.
• Submit and manage purchase orders using Coupa.
• Ensure compliance with SOPs and cGMPs/GDP procedures.
