What this job involves –

You will be responsible for calibrating, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of measurement and test equipment used in our facilities and those of our clients. You will ensure that all instruments meet required accuracy standards and comply with relevant regulations and industry best practices.

What is your day to day?

  • Perform calibrations on various types of measurement and test equipment, including electrical, mechanical, and environmental instruments.
  • Develop and implement calibration procedures and standards in line with industry regulations and client requirements.
  • Maintain detailed records of calibration activities and equipment history.
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex measurement and test equipment.
  • Train and mentor junior technicians in calibration techniques and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely calibration of equipment and minimize downtime.
  • Stay current with industry standards, technological advancements, and best practices in calibration.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for calibration processes and procedures.
  • Manage calibration schedules and ensure timely completion of all calibration tasks.
  • Liaise with clients and vendors regarding calibration requirements and equipment issues.

Desired experience and technical skills

Required

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in calibration of measurement and test equipment.
  • Profound knowledge of calibration principles, measurement uncertainty, and traceability.
  • Familiarity with ISO/IEC 17025 standards and other relevant industry regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in using calibration software and database management systems.

Preferred

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Metrology, or related field
