Job summary

Accredited Labs in Dallas, TX seeks a Calibration Service Manager to lead a high-performing calibration lab. You will oversee daily operations, ensure quality and turnaround, and serve as the technical authority for measurement processes and customer outcomes.

You will guide technicians and managers, drive continuous improvement, and work with Sales to expand service capabilities while maintaining accreditation standards and a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Background in metrology or calibration with multi-discipline coverage (electrical, dimensional, pressure, temperature, mass, torque).
• 3+ years of supervisory or management experience in calibration (lead, supervisor, or lab manager).
• Working knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025, ANSI/NCSL Z540-1, ISO 9000, ISO 16949; experience with accreditation assessments.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily lab operations: prioritize workflow, schedule staff, balance throughput with measurement quality.
• Serve as technical authority: review methods, procedures, results; support uncertainty budgets and traceability.
• Ensure technicians are trained, competence-assessed, delivering calibrations and repairs per quality requirements.
• Maintain ISO/IEC 17025 readiness: audits, nonconformances, corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with Sales and Branch Manager to grow business: pricing, ROI, new services, training needs.
• Build and manage budgets and continuous improvement plans to raise lab performance.
• Act as primary technical contact for customers: explain results, resolve questions, build relationships.
• Partner with corporate on recruiting, training, workload planning, performance reviews, and conflict resolution.
• Maintain a safe, positive, and accountable work environment.
