Location & Salary

Location: Chicago, IL 60611

Salary Range: $70,000 - $80,000 per year

Job Summary

This individual oversees cafeteria operations from open to close, maintaining costs and quality standards, leading a team, and ensuring sanitation and quality standards are exceeded.

Key Responsibilities

1. Supervise responsibilities according to organizational policies and laws
2. Interview, hire, train, and coach employees and entry-level managers
3. Plan, assign, and direct job duties
4. Participate in employee meetings, reviews, and development
5. Ensure compliance with sanitation and cleaning standards
6. Prepare and analyze daily volume trend reports
7. Plan, market, and execute café events and promotions
8. Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree preferred or equivalent experience
2. 3-5 years upscale food service experience, including 2 years in management
3. Supervisory, scheduling, training, and coaching skills
4. Knowledge of operations, policies, procedures, cash handling, and food service equipment
5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
7. ServSafe or Health Department certification is a plus
