Job summary

PACCAR is seeking an experienced CAE - Structural & Dynamics Engineer to advance heavy-duty truck development. You will lead FEA and vehicle dynamics simulations to deliver durability, ride, handling, and NVH performance, partnering with Kenworth and Peterbilt teams to translate findings into actionable recommendations.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of CAE expertise, strong analytical skills, and project leadership in a fast-paced environment, with a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CAE experience in automotive engineering.
• Experience with structural CAE, durability, or vehicle dynamics.
• Experience with nonlinear FEA (ABAQUS, LS-DYNA, or similar).
• Experience correlating CAE with test data.

Responsibilities

• Execute comprehensive FEA analyses across components and full-vehicle platforms.
• Develop and validate multi-body dynamics models to support load cases.
• Perform fatigue and durability life predictions with validated data.
