Job summary

Cadence Design Systems is seeking an HPC Server Farm Engineer to support, manage, and improve the DevOps environment for on-site San Jose operations. You will work with R&D teams to develop solutions that optimize their working environment, build HPC clusters, and automate provisioning using IaC tools.

The role requires hands-on cloud experience, strong Linux administration, and coordination across global locations.

Qualifications

7+ years of experience architecting, managing HPC environments on Windows and Linux.
3+ years coordinating support across multiple geographies in a global group.
Solid understanding of DevSecOps and best practices.
Experience building and managing CI/CD pipelines in Azure.
Strong Linux administration and problem-solving skills.
Experience working with R&D software teams to optimize environments.
Experience in HPC using LSF or Slurm preferred.
Strong process focus with documentation and incident management.

Responsibilities

Support multiple sites across North America, Europe, and Asia.
Improve R&D productivity and commit to customer success.
Build, deploy, and optimize HPC compute clusters using LSF or Slurm.
Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code tools.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments.
Operate, manage, and enhance the internal compute farm and associated cloud (Azure).
Maintain, monitor, and improve efficiency of the compute farm.
