Job summary

HNTB Corporation is seeking an experienced professional to lead non-routine engineering assignments across multiple projects in the Kansas City area. You will support project management, gather data from diverse sources, and ensure design integrity from concept through construction with input from engineers and architects.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering technology or related field with substantial practical experience, or an equivalent combination.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with 6+ years of relevant experience, or an AS with 8+ years, or 10 years in lieu of education.
• Experience with surveying notes, plans, shop drawings, aerial photos, and maps.
• Proficiency in GIS, 3D, highway or railroad, and building design concepts.

Responsibilities

• Verify accuracy of drawings and cross-discipline compatibility.
• Prepare layouts, detailed specs, estimates and reports.
• Assist in studies and evaluations from concept to design stage.
• Attend meetings and ensure policies and specs are followed.
• Resolve technical design problems including field investigations.
• Maintain complex project plans and generate management reports.
• Support process improvement for project delivery.
