Job summary

HNTB Corporation seeks an experienced engineering professional to perform advanced assignments, planning and conducting complete projects of varied scope. You will assist the project management team in outlining objectives and gather engineering data from diverse sources.

The role requires collaboration with clients and sub-contractors, proficiency in CADD tools, and the ability to resolve technical design issues. This position is based in Des Moines, IA and offers full-time engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering Technology or related field with 6 years of relevant experience, or
• Associate of Science in Drafting or Technical School with 8 years of relevant experience, or
• In lieu education, 10 years of relevant experience

Responsibilities

• Verify drawing accuracy and cross-discipline compatibility; prepare layouts, specs, estimates and reports.
• Assist in engineering studies and evaluations from concept to design stage with project engineer/architect.
• Attend project and pre-construction meetings; provide input on policies, procedures and specs.
