Exacta Land Surveyors LLC in Cleveland, OH is seeking a CAD Survey Tech & QA to review residential survey work, coach drafting staff, and coordinate with Professional Land Surveyors on complex matters. The role ensures accurate, consistent survey production across internal and outsourced teams.

You will mentor drafters, provide real-time guidance on boundary and record interpretations, and support field crews with calculations and data necessary to complete surveys on schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma; associate/technical degree preferred.
• 3+ years in land surveying drafting, checking or as a survey tech.
• Strong knowledge of residential survey prep and boundary research.
• Ability to coach others and communicate feedback clearly.
• Able to manage complex reviews and deliver quality on time.
• Proficient with job-related software and cloud-based tools.

Responsibilities

• Review complex residential survey work for accuracy and consistency.
• Coach and mentor drafting staff; provide constructive feedback.
• Identify recurring issues and coach to reduce errors.
• Provide real-time guidance on survey, boundary, and drafting issues.
• Coordinate with PLS on complex matters and boundary resolutions.
• Serve as liaison between drafting staff and PLS team for complex files.
• Support field crews with point files, field calculations, and data.
• Attend weekly meetings to review productivity and quality.
