Exacta, dba Landmark Survey Group, is seeking a Senior CAD Drafter for land surveying in Kentucky. You will draft topographic and boundary drawings, manage survey files, and support field crews under the Survey Manager's supervision.

The role requires 4+ years in surveying drafting, proficiency in Civil 3D, and strong communication. Schedule is M-F 8am–5pm with some weekends; benefits include life, disability, HSA, 401(k), and PTO.

Qualifications

• Minimum of high school diploma/GED; an Associate's/Technical Degree or higher preferred.
• 4+ years of professional drafting experience in surveying.
• Proven Civil 3D and survey experience.
• Professional communication and problem-solving; team player attitude.
• Ability to balance workload and exceed client expectations.
• Proficient with job-related software and cloud-based solutions.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate projects with the Survey Manager to discuss parameters and drafting requirements.
• Maintain survey control CAD files for engineered and subdivided lots; horizontal and vertical.
• Prepare topographic, boundary, and other survey drawings accurately and timely.
• Perform survey calculations from field notes and plats; assist with home builder plots and site plans.
• Provide professional support to field crews with data and exhibits.
• Maintain accurate timesheets for billing and adhere to company policies.
• Resolve issues promptly and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues.
• Perform duties to meet business needs safely and professionally.

Senior CAD Drafter Land Surveying Position Summary:

Under the supervision of the Survey Manager, the Senior CAD Drafter will be responsible for various design work and other related assignments for final Survey Preparation, Metes & Bounds, Platted Lots Survey preparation. This work is performed indoors and requires the ability to move in various standing and sitting positions and the ability to lift no more than 50 pounds. Senior CAD Drafter Land Surveying Position Responsibilities:

• Project coordination with Survey Manager to discuss project parameters and drafting requirements for each municipality and builder client requirements.
• Maintain Survey control cad files for engineered and scattered lot subdivisions; horizontal and vertical.
• Prepare topographic, boundary, and other types of survey mapping drawings in a timely, accurate and complete manner.
• Independently perform accurate survey calculations from field notes, deed and record plats; prepare home builder plot plans in accordance with construction plans, prepare formboard, foundation and final survey depicting drainage patterns from field-collected survey data and review of approved site/plot plans or other materials.
• Provide professional support to field survey crews with calc point files, exhibits, and other information as needed.
• Maintain consistent and accurate timesheets to ensure accurate and complete billing.
• Fully adhere to Exacta’s policies, procedures and work directives.
• Resolve internal/external customer issues in a prompt and professional manner.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees, managers, clients and other parties as related to Exacta’s services and overall business.
• Perform all duties as assigned to meet business needs in a safe, ethical and professional manner.

Senior CAD Drafter Land Surveying Skills and Experience:

• Minimum of high school diploma/GED diploma required; an Associate's / Technical Degree or higher preferred.
• 4+ years of successful job-related professional drafting experience in the surveying industry; Applied CAD experience.
• Proven and demonstrated professional skill sets to include, but not limited to Civil 3D and survey experience.
• Able to communicate and respond to questions in a professional and knowledgeable manner ensuring business outcomes; assertive problem-solver and action-oriented team player. Must have a relentlessly positive, flexible, do-whatever-it-takes attitude; must be fast on your feet, poised under pressure, and committed to client service.
• Ability to balance the workload to accommodate the demands of the job and exceed client expectations.
• Proficient in the independent application and use of job-related software/e-technology/cloud based solutions.
