Axiom Space is seeking a Senior Drawing Checker to lead the review and release of engineering drawings and MBD deliverables on site in the Houston area. The role demands deep SolidWorks expertise, strict adherence to ASME Y14 standards, and close collaboration with designers and engineers to resolve discrepancies and elevate drawing quality.

Qualifications

• 10+ years creating and checking manufacturing‑ready engineering drawings to ASME Y14 standards.
• 10+ years of SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD experience producing models, assemblies, and drawings.
• Expert understanding of drawing deliverables, units, document properties, title blocks, and release documentation.
• Strong command of GD&T application and interpretation.

Responsabilités

• Review engineering drawings and MBD datasets for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with ASME Y14 and internal standards.
• Validate dimensions, GD&T, tolerances, notes, materials, finishes, and revision history for correctness and clarity.
• Ensure 3D models, drawings, and metadata are properly linked and meet configuration management and release requirements.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to clarify requirements and implement corrections.
• Mentor team members on drafting best practices, GD&T, and documentation quality.
• Maintain and improve drawing standards, MBD guidelines, templates, and checking checklists.
