Job summary
Caliber Sales Engineering in Melbourne, FL is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician to join our design and engineering team. You will apply CAD drafting and PCB software to create detailed drawings and models, supporting concepts from initial idea through production.
As SME for CAD drafting, you will lead a drafting team, collaborate with engineers, ensure designs meet standards, and generate BOMs and documentation.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Engineering Technology or equivalent.
- Experience with CAD drafting and PCB software.
- Ability to generate BOMs and maintain documentation.
- Leadership and mentoring of a drafting team.
- Strong collaboration with engineers and production teams.
Responsibilities
- Design and Drafting: create 2D/3D CAD drawings and PCB models, implement feedback.
- Collaboration: validate designs with engineers and plan resources.
- Documentation: maintain project docs, BOMs, and revisions.
- Quality Assurance: perform checks and support production issue resolution.
- Continuous Improvement: stay current with CAD/PCB tools and methods.
- Communication: report status and risks to stakeholders; keep confidentiality.
