Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking an Experienced CAD Operator to join our Land Development team in Reston, Virginia. The role focuses on designing and producing sets of plans for various land development projects, while implementing and managing AutoCAD drafting standards.

The position requires 3+ years of relevant experience and advanced CAD software knowledge (Autodesk or Bentley). You will develop and check technical drawings, maintain drawing databases, and coordinate with teams to meet schedules and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; an associates degree preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant CAD drafting experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Autodesk or Bentley CAD software.
• Detail oriented with professional attitude and good communication.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Designing and producing sets of plans for Land Development projects; implement drafting standards.
• Develop technical drawings and plans using CAD software.
• Perform quality checks on drawings and plans of substantial complexity.
• Requires minimal supervision to perform day-to-day tasks.
• Knowledge of engineering principles and suggested design changes.
• Maintain drawing database.
