Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking an Experienced CAD Operator to join our Land Development team in Boca-Delray, Florida. You will design and produce plans for commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential projects, using AutoCAD and Bentley software.

You will ensure drawings meet standards, assist with plan preparation, and may supervise CAD staff while coordinating workloads to maintain schedules and quality. This role requires strong detail orientation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associates degree preferred.
• 6+ years of relevant experience in CAD/drafting for land development.
• Advanced knowledge of Autodesk or Bentley drafting software.
• Detail oriented with professional attitude and good communication.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Design and produce sets of plans for land development projects (commercial, industrial, institutional, residential).
• Develop technical drawings using CAD software and ensure standards compliance.
• Quality check drawings and perform complex calculations as needed.
• Possibly supervise and train CAD staff and coordinate work to maintain schedules.
• Maintain and organize the drawing database and project documentation.
