Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking an Experienced CAD technician/designer to join our Land Development team in Miami, Florida. You will design and produce sets of plans for varied land development projects, using AutoCAD Civil 3D to create accurate technical drawings.

The role requires 4+ years of relevant experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or with a team. On-site in Miami, with opportunities to mentor CAD staff and contribute to schedules and quality control.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant experience with Land Development design.
• Advanced knowledge and proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, good communication, team player, self-starter.
• Strong work ethic, interpersonal communication/writing skills and desire to learn.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.

Responsibilities

• Designing and producing sets of plans for Land Development projects.
• Develop technical drawings and plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
• Perform quality checks on drawings and plans of substantial complexity.
• Supervise and train CAD staff as needed.
• Coordinate work activities to maintain schedules and ensure quality control.
• Develop familiarity with Kimley-Horn's practices, procedures, and standards.
